What's in a Name?


Our name is derived from the fact that we are the source of upstream and downstream carbon and sustainability footprint data. A carbon footprint measures the total amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions released into the environment. GHGs are measured in units of CO2 or CO2 equivalent. Forty four is the molecular weight of carbon dioxide, the greatest contributor to global warming. It is our hope that, in understanding the source of the materials we use and the impact they have on our environment, we can, as a global community, begin to make the decisions that will bring us closer to being a more carbon neutral society. Simply put, we're aiming at leaving our planet in the shape we found it in. We invite you to join us.
